Went here after king burrito had a hour long wait. This place is a total sleeper/ hole in the wall. Tacos were bomb . Salsa could be better. Asada burrito was dope and so was the horchata drinks. Staff was nice and I would eat there again.

There are so many great places to get Mexican food in the area, yet Los Pepitos still holds its own, albeit with slight flaws. I'll start with the flaws/areas for improvement. The biggest flaw is that the quality of the meat isn't the best, as sometimes its a tad chewy or tough. Next, this is a one-time experience, but I ordered a tortas with fries, and the fry portion was so sad. It was not worth the $2. Finally, their enchilada was good (the green sauce was especially flavorful) but not super memorable.
But what makes Los Pepitos a solid 4 stars nonetheless? The fact that they have unique Central American dishes like sopas and pupusas. I've been craving both of these dishes a lot after trying it for my first time here, especially their sopes. While a sopes newbie, I get the sense that this dish was well executed overall. It was perfectly fried and not too oily, and the toppings were represented evenly throughout. Everything tasted great in one big bite! They have a huge selection of pupusas too and I loved how soft and chewy the corn flour tortilla was. It was like a soft cheesy bread. Overall, while I'll likely visit other taquerias for Mexican food, I enjoy Los Pepitos' more unique offerings.
Tip: Park in the Walgreens and walk over, as the parking situation here can be hard depending on the direction you're coming from. -

Too hot to go home to cook, after my event, it's right there, and I thought we'd stop here to eat, since we always go inside to use their restroom!
Four stars for the food. Food stars for their service. One of our friends recommend I try the Pastor taco. I've never heard of it, I've never had it!
It was very T.A.S.T.Y! My husband ordered one too, and he also had shrimp taco. He said: 'It was delicious' for both tacos. His came with rice & re-fried beans were both delicious. They also mixed up a strawberry lemonade which was not on the menu, from scratch. He also came back to ask if he wanted a refill, no charge! We also got a free sample of ice cream made from rice. (Could it be, that we're the last people here, or are they just that friendly ALWAYS?) I asked him, if he's the manager, but the waiter is just a friend of the chef, who is.
The restroom wasn't so great, but I'm giving them 4 stars because of the above. -

I have patronized this restaurant during lunch many times, But today will be my last time. Today Owner was very rude. Owner told me why don't I sit down for lunch instead of getting items to go. Owner said I'm always worried about price and take too long to order.

This is our neighborhood favorite Mexican/ElSalvadorian restaurant- great food, reasonable cost, and nice owner! My daughter loves the papusas, fish tacos and fajitas- I typically go with chili rellanos with homemade tortillas...
